Salvador – On 2 August, the Salesian High School in Salvador, in the state of Bahia, hosted the 15th edition of the Salesian Past Pupils’ Gathering, one of the most traditional events of the Don Bosco Past Pupils’ Movement in Brazil. The event was attended by 1,044 people, including Past Pupils and their families. The day began with Mass presided over by Fr Ilmário Pinheiro, Rector of the Salesian presence in Salvador, who emphasised the importance of keeping Don Bosco’s spirit alive through fraternity and gratitude. This was followed by a festive celebration featuring musical performances by two bands made up of Past Pupils, blending entertainment with a touch of nostalgia. The day strengthened the sense of belonging that unites the Salesian family even after school days are over, confirming the power of Don Bosco’s educational charism.
