Curitiba – From 28 to 30 August 2026, the Parish of St Christopher at the Salesian centre in Curitiba, in the Brazilian state of Paraná, hosted the meeting of the Council of the National Federation of Don Bosco Past Pupils. The event was attended by 30 councillors, representing the six Salesian Provinces of Brazil, together with four Salesian Delegates for Past Pupils. The annual meeting provided an important opportunity for fellowship, formation, spirituality and planning. The participants reflected on the progress made by the Federation and on future prospects, with the aim of consolidating and further developing the mission of the Don Bosco Past Pupils in the country. One of the main topics addressed was the updating of the 2024–2027 Strategic Plan, through a review of the objectives already set and the identification of new strategies to ensure the continuity and effectiveness of national initiatives. Particular attention was given to the reflection entitled ‘Resolution in Action: from the strength of the network to a concrete initiative’, which encouraged participants to transform the wealth of relationships and experiences of Past Pupils into projects capable of making a tangible impact on society. Among the most significant aspects of the meeting was the participation of the Young Past Pupils (JEX), aimed at fostering inter-generational dialogue and helping to identify new pathways for engagement and growth within the Salesian Family.
