Caring, Connecting, Creating: A Call to Youth Wellness at EuroBosco 2026

In a world where young people face increasing challenges—emotional, social, and spiritual—the need for authentic guidance, meaningful relationships, and safe spaces has never been greater. It is within this context that EuroBosco 2026 invites Past Pupils and Friends of Don Bosco from across Europe to gather in Malta for a unique and transformative experience.

Taking place from the 4th to the 8th of November 2026, EuroBosco is more than a conference—it is a living expression of the Salesian mission. Rooted in the Strenna 2026 and inspired by Don Bosco’s lifelong dedication to young people, this meeting places youth wellness at its heart, understood as the balanced growth of mind, heart, faith, and relationships.

At the centre of EuroBosco 2026 lies its powerful theme: “Caring, Connecting, and Creating: The Salesian Way to Youth Wellness.” These three words capture the essence of the Salesian Educational Approach and offer a clear path forward for all those committed to accompanying young people today.

Caring reminds us that every young person needs to feel seen, valued, and loved. Don Bosco believed that education begins not with rules, but with kindness and presence. In today’s fast-paced and often disconnected world, this message is more relevant than ever. EuroBosco invites participants to rediscover compassion, empathy, and inclusion as the starting point of true youth wellness.

Connecting highlights the importance of relationships. At the heart of the Salesian charism is accompaniment—the simple yet powerful act of walking alongside young people. Through trust, friendship, faith, and community, young people find belonging and purpose. EuroBosco 2026 will create opportunities for meaningful encounters between participants from different countries, cultures, and generations, strengthening the bonds that unite the Salesian Family.

Creating opens the door to hope and growth. Young people thrive when they are given the freedom to express themselves, explore their talents, and dream about the future. Inspired by the five Salesian settings—home, school, parish, playground, and theatre—EuroBosco promotes safe and creative environments where young people can flourish and take an active role in shaping their lives.

What makes EuroBosco 2026 truly special is its dynamic and engaging programme. Moving away from traditional lectures, the event adopts a hands-on, non-formal approach to learning. Through interactive workshops, participants will explore practical ways to apply Don Bosco’s vision in today’s context—focusing on building welcoming environments, fostering strong relationships, and encouraging creativity in youth work.

Beyond the sessions, EuroBosco offers rich moments of cultural exchange and shared experiences. Participants will have the opportunity to discover the beauty of Malta through organised visits to historic and spiritual sites such as Mdina, Gozo, and Mellieħa, deepening both cultural understanding and spiritual reflection. Evening gatherings, including prayer moments, intercultural music, and the vibrant “Festa Maltija,” will further strengthen the sense of community and joy that defines the Salesian spirit.

Set in the welcoming environment of the Paradise Bay Resort, the event combines reflection, learning, and celebration in a setting that encourages both relaxation and connection. The all-inclusive format ensures that participants can fully immerse themselves in the experience, focusing on what truly matters: encounter, growth, and mission.

EuroBosco 2026 is not just about attending an event—it is about becoming part of a movement. It is a call to action for Past Pupils and Friends of Don Bosco to renew their commitment to young people and to be “light” in today’s world. Guided by the pillars of faith, reason, and loving-kindness, participants are invited to reflect on their role in promoting youth wellness and to return home inspired to make a difference.

In coming together, sharing experiences, and learning from one another, EuroBosco creates a space where the Salesian charism comes alive. It reminds us that caring, connecting, and creating are not just ideas, but ways of living that can transform lives.

As Malta prepares to welcome the Salesian Family from across Europe and the Middle East, the invitation is open: come, be part of this journey, and help shape a future where every young person can grow, belong, and thrive.
