I attended three medical seminars in Salesian English School in Hong Kong on 11th January 2025 presented by the Salesian past pupils in Cantonese.
The attendants are people in our community, parents of the pupils, Superintendent Fr. Savio Yeung Cho Law, Principal Ms. To Yuk Yin, Vice Principal and Biology teacher Mr. Chan.
The past pupil speakers are:
1). Dr. CHENG Chi Chung, Vincent, Chief of Service, Department of Microbiology, Queen Mary Hospital, Hong Kong.
Vincent reviewed how the doctors, nurses and medical team dealt with the COVID19 situation in Hong Kong. The entire process expressed their will and selfless contributions to fight with the virus. There were so many brave and touching stories.
The attendants asked questions regarding how to prevent infectious diseases around us now.
I appreciated and proud of their selfless devotion
2). Dr. WONG Kai Choi, Honorary Clinical Associated Professor, Department of Psychiatry, The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Kai Choi spoke on the state of mental illness general situation in Hong Kong. How to deal with mental illness relatives and friends.
The attendants asked questions regarding how to deal with relatives who have depression.
By looking at the data provided by Kai Choi, I am so surprised that there are so many mental illness cases in Hong Kong.
3) Dr. LEUNG Kwok Fai, Stephen, Specialist in Cardiology, Honorary Clinical Associated Professor, The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Stephen spoke on causes and treatment of heart disease.
The attendants asked questions regarding the symptoms of heart disease. How to help family members and relatives who have heart disease.
Stephen renewed and corrected my knowledges & understandings of heart disease.
After the three seminars, I spoke with Mr. Wong, who is the father of a Form 5 student at Salesian English School, said that the three past pupils presented very well. The stories are remarkably interesting and moving. The seminar contents are incredibly attractive and useful.
There will be three more seminars scheduled on 15th February. 2025
